Design notes
In the portrait version the whole page becomes the commencement program. The title and organization head the sheet over a plum rule, rows I to III of the Order of Exercises sit in a centered column, and a gold pointing hand opens row IV, where the graduate's name in copperplate script rests on a dotted line wider than the rows. The statement, achievements, rows V and VI and the record rows follow, with class rank, honors, issue date and credential ID, and the two signatures stand either side of a centered QR code.
About
Valedictorian Certificate Template, Programme Portrait
Many schools hand the valedictorian a framed award at honors night or on the graduation stage, and a tall page suits the frame, the scrapbook and the noticeboard in the school office. Middle schools use the title at grade 8 graduation, some elementary schools name one as well, and college applications often ask about class rank. At any level the award should name the student, the school, the honor and the date, and carry the principal's signature.
Wording on the template“For graduating first in the class with the highest academic standing of all its members, and for delivering the valedictory address, the farewell on behalf of the class, at the commencement exercises.”More wording ideas for valedictorian certificates

Subject: Congratulations, valedictorian of the graduating class
Dear name,
Congratulations on being named valedictorian of your graduating class. This honor reflects years of steady work, curiosity and care for your classmates, and the whole school is proud of you. Your valedictorian certificate is ready: you can download it, print it for your family and share it online or with the colleges you apply to.
Thank you for representing your class with such dedication. We look forward to hearing your address at commencement.
With warm regards, Office of the Principal

Post for the recipient to share
I am honored to share that I was named valedictorian of my graduating class. It reflects years of early mornings, hard courses and a lot of help from my teachers, my classmates and my family. Giving the farewell address for my class was a moment I will not forget. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. #Valedictorian #Graduation

Printing
Printing it well
Print at actual size
Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.
Use card, not paper
A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.
Frame it
A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.
Mind the edges
Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
