Rookie of the Year certificate templates and badges
3 free designs. A set is one design as a badge, a landscape or a portrait certificate, or all three.
Free for up to 20 recipients a year
A rookie of the year certificate template is for the newcomer who made the best start. Companies give it to the strongest new hire of the past twelve months, often in sales, support, engineering or a graduate program, at the annual awards, a year-end town hall or the cohort's first anniversary. Clubs and recreational leagues give the same award to their best first-season player.
A good rookie of the year award certificate says more than "well done". It names the person, the year and what they did in it: how quickly they took on real work, which first-year goals they met or beat, and how they helped the people around them. A short statement from a manager and a signature from someone senior make it feel earned.
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges, so the winner can frame a printed copy and share the verified award online.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Usually anyone who joined in the last twelve months, sometimes limited to new graduates or to one department such as sales. Set the cut-off date before you ask for nominations so nobody is left out by accident.
Most companies say no and keep the award for people new to the organisation, because a transfer already knows the systems and the culture. If your teams change often, you can run a separate award for the best first year in a new role.
They mean the same thing in most workplaces. Rookie of the year is the more informal name, borrowed from sports, and suits a team that likes a bit of fun; new employee of the year or best newcomer reads more formally.
Pick one winner per department or per region, or name a winner and a runner-up. Two equal winners is fine too, as long as each certificate states what that person achieved rather than sharing one general line.
Three or four concrete points from the year: how fast the person reached full contribution, first-year goals met or exceeded, a project or customer win, and how they helped the team. Short, specific highlights read better than a long paragraph of praise.
