A tennis certificate template gives a club, a school or a coach a ready page for the moments that matter on court: a singles title, a ladder win, a finished junior level or a season of league play. Awards are handed out on finals day, at the club prize night or when a coaching block ends.
A good one names the player, the event and the result, and says what earned it, such as a title won without dropping a set. It carries a date and the signature of the tournament director or head coach. The designs here come as certificates (A4 and US Letter) and as badges, so you can print one for the wall and send the same award by email.
Wording
What to write on a tennis certificate
Use these lines as they are, or as a start for your own. Every template comes with wording you can change in the studio.
Wording for a tennis tournament certificate
- “Awarded for winning the singles title at the club championships.”
- “In recognition of a champion's run through every round of the draw.”
- “Runner-up in the open doubles, with thanks for a final to remember.”
Wording for a tennis award for juniors and school teams
- “For great effort, sportsmanship and progress this season.”
- “Most improved player of the school tennis team.”
- “For finishing the red ball level and moving up to orange.”
Short lines for the badge or the email
- “Singles champion, club open.”
- “Congratulations on a great season.”

FAQ
Questions, answered
The player's name, the event or season, the result (winner, runner-up, most improved), the date and a signature with its role. Many add the draw size and the court surface so the result is clear later.
Usually the tournament director and the head coach or club president. Two signatures make the award feel official, and the director's name also helps if the result is ever checked.
Singles and doubles champion, runner-up, most improved player, best sportsmanship, player of the season and a coach's award. Junior programs also mark each ball colour level, from red to orange to green.
At the end of the final, at the club prize night or at the end of a season or coaching block. Sending the digital version on the same day keeps the moment fresh.
Yes. Friendly events, round robins and summer camps all suit an award, and a light line about effort and fun fits better than a formal result.
