Chess certificate templates and badges
3 free designs. A set is one design as a badge, a landscape or a portrait certificate, or all three.

A chess certificate template gives a club, a school or a tournament organiser a ready page for the players who made the event: the winner of the open section, the best junior, the player who gained the most rating points. Clubs hand them out at the end of a Swiss or round-robin event, schools at a chess day or a league final, and coaches at the end of a term of lessons.
A good chess certificate names the event and the section, says what the player achieved (a place, a score, a best game) and carries the date and the signatures of the tournament director and the chief arbiter. Many also print the time control, such as rapid or classical.
The designs come as certificates for A4 and US Letter, and as badges for sharing a result online. Add the name, the section and the final score, then print the page or send the credential by email with a QR code that proves it is real.

FAQ
Questions, answered
The player's name, the event, the section, the place or the prize, the final score, the date and the signature of the tournament director. Adding the format, such as a Swiss system with five rounds, and the time control makes the result easy to check later.
Usually the tournament director and the chief arbiter. At a school, the chess coach or the head teacher signs. A club can add its president as a third signer.
Many events also award second and third place, the best junior, the best veteran, the best unrated player, the biggest rating gain and the best game. Each can use the same design with a different line of text.
Yes. Coaches give a certificate for a finished course, a level such as beginner or intermediate, or a set of skills like basic checkmates, tactics and endgames. Change the title and the skills list to fit the course.
No. The file of squares from e1 to e8 and the queen on e8 are part of the drawing. They show a pawn promoted to a queen and suit any prize, so one design works for every section.
