A spelling bee certificate template gives organizers a ready layout for the moment the last word is spelled right. Teachers, school coordinators, librarians and parent groups hand out a spelling bee award after a classroom round, a school final or a district bee, to the winner and often to the runners-up and every finalist as well.
A good certificate for spelling bee winners names the student and the result, such as 1st Place or Participant, adds the bee, the school and the date, and carries signatures from the bee coordinator and the principal. You can print a page for the classroom wall and email the same award to the family.

FAQ
Questions, answered
A pronouncer reads a word, and the student says it, spells it letter by letter and says it again. A wrong letter eliminates the student. Rounds continue until one speller is left. Students may ask for the definition, the language of origin or a sentence.
The winner always does. Many schools also give certificates to the runner-up and third place, and a participation certificate to every speller, because standing on stage is the hardest part for young children.
The student's name, the place or result, the name of the bee and school, the date and signatures. Short praise such as for brilliant spelling is enough. Name the grade level if the bee has separate rounds.
Bees often start in the classroom, then move to a school final, a district or regional round and sometimes a national finals. Keep the same style for each stage and change the name of the round and the place.
Right after the final word, on stage, while the room is still clapping. If the bee runs late, send a digital copy the same day so the family can share it.
