Design notes

This landscape page spells CHAMPION across a strip of eight honeycomb cells, one letter in each, with the last cell filled in honey and a small bee flying off it on a dotted trail. A dictionary line, cham-pi-on, sits below. Then come the student's name, the line for brilliant spelling, the program, the date, two signatures such as the bee coordinator and the principal, a credential ID and a QR code. Navy lettering on warm cream paper, with a navy midnight version, suits primary and middle schools.

About

Spelling Bee Champion Certificate Template

A spelling bee asks a child to stand in front of the room and say a word one letter at a time. Schools, districts, libraries and parent groups hold classroom rounds and school finals, and the winner usually goes home with a certificate that teachers and parents are proud to put on the fridge or the wall.

Subject: A spelling bee certificate for name

Dear parent or guardian of name,

Congratulations! Taking part in the spelling bee takes courage, and name stood up and gave it a real try. We enjoyed every word.

The certificate is ready. Open it to see it, then download a copy to print and put on the fridge or the classroom wall.

Thank you for helping name practise at home. We hope to see you at the next bee.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

Our class spelling bee took place today, and I could not be prouder of every child who stood up to spell in front of their friends. Their hard work, practice and bravery were wonderful to see. Each speller now has a certificate to take home. Well done, everyone, and thank you to the families who helped them practise. #SpellingBee #Teachers #Education

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
