Design notes

This landscape design is the painter's palette board itself, lying across the page with its thumb hole at the left. Paint daubs line the rim in the order artists set them out, and four of them carry the achievements: original concept, technical skill, use of color and juried exhibition. The clean centre holds the name in a flowing script, the program, a statement, the selected work, a row with category, distinction, exhibition, date and credential ID, two signatures and a QR code. It suits an exhibition wall or a frame at home.

About

Art Certificate Template, Painter's Palette Landscape

Art prizes are judged on the work itself. A jury of teachers, practising artists or gallery staff looks at each entry for an original idea, sound technique and a confident use of colour, then picks the pieces that hang in the exhibition and the ones that take a prize. Schools, art societies, open competitions and youth programmes at museums give a certificate to say which work won and why.

Wording on the template“In recognition of outstanding creativity and artistic skill. Selected by the jury from all entries for an original body of work, confident technique and an expressive use of color, and shown in the annual young artists' exhibition.”

Subject: Congratulations, name: your art award is ready

Dear name,

Congratulations! The jury chose your work for this year's award, and we loved the ideas, the care and the colour you brought to it.

Your art award certificate is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print and frame, or share it on your profile so friends and family can see your work recognised.

We hope to see much more of your art. Keep painting.

Post for the recipient to share

I am proud to share that my painting was selected by the jury for this year's art award and shown in the exhibition. Thank you to my teachers and fellow artists for every honest critique along the way. Making art takes patience, and it means a lot to see the work on a wall. #ArtAward #Painting #Artist

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
