Design notes

This landscape layout is built like a dipped pot. The name, program and title sit in the glaze field, and a pooled glaze line with drips marks where the pot was dipped. Below it, a bare clay foot with iron speckle holds two signatures, a round chop mark, the credential ID and the issue date. A QR code and a logo space sit at the top. It suits studios that want a warm, handmade look for framed prints.

About

Pottery Workshop Certificate Template, Landscape

A pottery workshop certificate confirms that a student has worked through the basic steps of ceramics: wedging clay, throwing on the wheel, hand building, trimming, glazing and firing. Craft studios, community centres, art schools and adult education programs issue it after a taught workshop of a few hours or a full course, often the same day the pieces come out of the kiln.

Subject: Your pottery certificate is ready, name

Hi name,

Thank you for spending your time at the wheel with us. From your first wobbly bowl to the pieces you now shape with confidence, you have learned the craft with care and patience.

Your certificate is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print, or add it to your LinkedIn profile if you want to share your new skill.

Congratulations, and we hope to see you in the studio again soon.

Post for the recipient to share

I just finished my pottery course and received my certificate. I learned to centre clay, throw on the wheel, trim, glaze and fire my own pieces. It taught me patience, and every cracked pot was a lesson. Thank you to our instructor and the whole studio for a wonderful class. #Pottery #Ceramics #NewSkills

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
