Design notes

This landscape design turns the page into a stage seen from above. Black wing legs come in from both sides, and a gold stage edge runs along the foot with the numbers 8 6 4 2 0 2 4 6 8 that dancers use to space themselves. The student's name is written in script at centre, in a soft spotlight, over a burgundy spike mark. Below it sit the program, a short statement, the skills, the level, duration, assessment, issue date and credential ID, then two signatures with the QR code between them. It suits ballet schools, dance academies and youth companies.

Dance Certificate Template, Centre Stage Landscape

A dance certificate of achievement is usually handed out at the annual recital, a graded exam result day or the last class of the year. Studios, school dance programs and community arts groups give it when a student finishes a level, and a good one names what the work involved: technique and alignment, choreography, rhythm and musicality, and the confidence to perform in front of an audience.

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
