An internal auditor certificate template is for the quality managers, HSE leads and training providers who teach staff to audit their own organisation's management system. The certificate goes out after an internal auditor course, often for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001, and usually after a practice audit on a real process.
A good one is a training record an external auditor can read in a minute: the standard and its edition, the hours, what the person learned (planning an audit, sampling evidence, writing findings, following up corrective action), the practice audit, the dates and a signature from the trainer or the quality manager. It records training; it does not register the person with any auditor scheme.
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges that people can add to LinkedIn.

FAQ
Questions, answered
An internal auditor course teaches people to audit their own organisation and often takes two or three days. A lead auditor course is longer, usually about five days, and adds leading an audit team and auditing other companies. When a lead auditor course runs under an auditor registration scheme, follow that scheme's own rules for what the certificate may show.
It is one part of the evidence. Management system standards ask the organisation to keep records of competence, so most quality teams keep the training certificate together with the audits the person has observed and then carried out. External auditors often ask to see both.
The trainer or course director signs for the training, and many in-house courses add the quality or management system manager, who decides who joins the audit programme. A training provider usually signs alone.
The standards do not set an expiry. Many organisations still plan refresher training every two or three years, or when a new edition of the standard comes out, and show that date as valid until. Leave it off if your programme has no refresher.
Clause 9.2 is the internal audit clause in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, which share the same structure. The number is part of the drawing; it does not show approval by ISO or any other body.
