A mental health certificate template gives employers, schools, councils, charities and training providers a calm record for people who finish a mental health awareness session: line managers, wellbeing champions, front-desk staff, teachers, coaches and volunteers. Many organisations run these sessions during Mental Health Awareness Week or Month in May, or around World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

A good mental health awareness certificate says what the person learned to do: notice early signs of distress, start a supportive conversation, listen without judgement and point someone toward the right help. It names the course length and format, carries the date, a credential ID and the signature of the trainer or the wellbeing lead.

Awareness training is not a clinical qualification, so the wording should record learning, never diagnosis or treatment. The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as digital badges.

FAQ

Questions, answered

They can spot when a colleague or student may be struggling, open a kind and private conversation, listen, and help the person find the right support, such as a GP, an employee assistance line or a crisis service. They do not assess, diagnose or treat anyone, and the certificate should not suggest they do.
