An olympiad certificate template gives you a ready layout for the students who did well in a subject olympiad: a school round in mathematics, a regional science contest or a national final in informatics. Schools, olympiad committees, subject associations and enrichment centres send them when the results are confirmed, and many hand out a printed copy at an assembly or a prize evening.
A good one names the student, the olympiad and the round, and states the award level, such as gold, silver, bronze or merit. It says what the student achieved, lists the fields or papers examined, and carries the date, a credential ID and a signature from the chair of the jury or the organiser.
The designs come as certificates in A4 and US Letter and as badges, so students can print their olympiad award for a portfolio and share a verified copy online.
Wording

- “For distinction in the Mathematics Olympiad, national round.”
- “Awarded a Gold Award for complete and rigorous solutions to the olympiad papers.”

Wording for olympiad awards for students who took part

- “With congratulations on reaching the second round of the competition.”

FAQ
Questions, answered
The student's name, the name of the olympiad and its subject, the round (school, regional or national), the award level and the year. Add a short statement, the fields or papers examined, the date, a credential ID and at least one signature.
Most organisers set score cut-offs after marking, then give gold, silver and bronze awards, and often merit or distinction, to students above each line. Publish the levels and the cut-off method with the results so every certificate means the same thing.
Many organisers give a certificate of participation to every contestant and a separate certificate of merit to award winners. Use a different title and statement for each, so a participation certificate is never read as an award.
Usually the chair of the jury or the head of the problem committee, together with the olympiad director, the head of school or the president of the subject association that runs the contest.
Send them once the results are final, after any appeals or rechecks of marks. Many schools also present a printed copy at an assembly or prize evening a few weeks later.
Yes. Students often list olympiad results in applications and scholarship files. A credential ID and a QR code let an admissions office check the award with the issuer instead of relying on a scanned copy.
