Design notes
This landscape page is set like a written solution beside its figure. The left column holds the logo, the organisation, the title, the name in italic, the program and a short statement closed by a small gold end-of-proof square, then the fields examined and a round, papers and time row. On the right, a gold circle stepped round six times by the compass carries the caption with the award level. Two signatures stand on a long straightedge line, which ends at a QR code for verification, with the date of issue and the credential number beside it.
About
Olympiad Certificate of Merit Template, Compass Figure
A mathematics olympiad is a written problem-solving contest for school students. Contestants sit timed papers of a few hard problems and must hand in full arguments, not just answers, which a jury marks against a published scheme. Most contests run in rounds, from a school or regional round to a national final, and give awards such as gold, silver, bronze or merit by score cut-offs. Schools, olympiad committees, maths societies and enrichment centres send this certificate after the results are confirmed.
Wording on the template“For complete, rigorous written solutions to the olympiad's problem papers, worked alone against the clock and scored above the award cut-off. Every answer was a full argument, marked by the jury against a published scheme.”More wording ideas for olympiad certificates

Subject: Congratulations, name: your olympiad certificate is ready
Hi name,
Congratulations on your result in this year's olympiad. The papers were hard, and your answers showed real care and clear reasoning from the first problem to the last.
Your certificate is ready. Open it to see your award, download a copy to print for your portfolio, or share it on your profile so your teachers, family and friends can see it. It carries a credential ID, so anyone can check that it is genuine.
Well done, and we hope to see you in the next round.

Post for the recipient to share
I received my certificate of merit from this year's Mathematics Olympiad. Months of practice problems, a long written paper and a lot of crossed-out attempts went into it, and I am proud of the result. Thank you to my teachers and my maths club for every hard problem they gave me. On to the next round. #MathOlympiad #Mathematics

Printing
Printing it well
Print at actual size
Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.
Use card, not paper
A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.
Frame it
A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.
Mind the edges
Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
