Design notes

This landscape certificate turns that cheque into the record itself. On the draft, the student's name sits on the PAY TO THE ORDER OF line, a short statement fills the written lines, the program goes on the FOR line and the award, such as Full Tuition, in a double-ruled amount box. Two signatures, a rosette seal and a MICR line with the credential ID close the foot. The perforated stub at the left keeps the draft number, the date, the achievements and the terms: tenure, level, payment and renewal, with a QR code to verify. It suits a scholarship committee or a financial aid office.

About

Scholarship Award Certificate Template, Award Draft

Scholarships are granted by foundations, colleges, school districts, alumni associations and local businesses to students who stand out for grades, leadership or service. The award letter states the amount and the terms, but families also want something to frame and to show at the awards evening, where a winner often holds up an oversized presentation cheque.

Wording on the template“Awarded for outstanding academic merit, leadership and service to the community. This award supports the recipient's tuition and study costs for the academic year.”

Subject: name, you have been awarded a scholarship

Dear name,

We are delighted to tell you that the scholarship committee has chosen you for this year's award. Your results, your leadership and the way you give back to those around you stood out among many strong applications.

Your scholarship certificate is ready. Open it to see your award, download a copy to print for your family, or share it on LinkedIn and in your applications.

Your award letter with the full terms follows separately. Congratulations, and we look forward to seeing where your studies take you.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I am grateful to share that I have received a merit scholarship for the coming academic year. It will help with my tuition and lets me spend more time on my studies and on the projects I care about. Thank you to the scholarship committee, the donors who fund it, and the teachers who pushed me to apply. #Scholarship #StudentLife

Recipients share it with one click from their credential page, with the badge attached.

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
