Design notes

This landscape design turns the certificate into the trainee's own row of that matrix. The name is the row label on a pale tinted band, four skill heads step down on leader lines to their columns, and each cell holds a full green Harvey ball. A key below names the five levels and marks Competent as the one reached. Below the key come the program, a short statement, duration, delivery and assessment, then two signatures, the date of issue and credential ID, and a scannable code for checking. It suits teams who want a record that reads like the matrix.

About

Training Completion Certificate Template, Training Matrix

Many workplaces keep a training matrix: a grid of people against the skills their role needs, with a mark in each cell for the level reached. Quality, safety and HR teams update it after each course; auditors ask for it, because a standard such as ISO 9001 expects documented evidence of competence. A certificate of training is the personal copy of that record, given by an employer or training provider when someone finishes a program and is signed off.

Wording on the template“Attended every session of the program and was assessed as competent in each listed skill, through instructor-led sessions, guided practice and a final assessment, to the standard set by the trainer.”

Subject: name, your training is signed off: here is your certificate

Hi name,

Well done on finishing your training. Your trainer has signed off the program, and your certificate of training is now ready. It lists the skills you covered and the level you reached.

Open it to view it, download a copy to print for your file, or share the badge on LinkedIn. Keep the link handy: anyone you share it with can check it in one click.

Thank you for the time and effort you put in.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

This week I finished our professional training program and was signed off as competent in every skill on the list, from the core knowledge to the final practical assessment. Thanks to our trainers for the hands-on sessions and the patient feedback. Looking forward to putting it to work on the job. #ProfessionalDevelopment #Training

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
