Design notes

The portrait version turns the lesson plan on its side. A timing column runs down the left edge and the page reads top to bottom like a lesson: the starter holds the title and the learning objective; the long main band holds the name, the course and a grid with PD hours, format, issue date and credential ID; the plenary closes with four recap items, two signatures and a QR code. The tall page fits a ring binder or a printed teaching portfolio.

About

Teacher Training Certificate, Lesson Timing Portrait

For many teachers, professional development is a file that grows every year: proof of courses, in-service days and coaching cycles, kept for appraisal, a move to a new school or an application for a leadership post. The useful record names the course, the hours, the areas worked on and the person who signed it off. Training providers, school groups and district PD teams give this certificate when a teacher finishes a course.

Wording on the template“Applied new strategies from this professional development course to plan, teach and assess lessons, and to reflect on their impact in their own classroom.”

Subject: name, your teacher training certificate is ready

Dear name,

Thank you for taking part in every session of our professional development course. Your certificate is now ready. It records the course, the PD hours and the areas we covered, with a credential ID that anyone can check.

Open it to download a copy for your portfolio or your PD log, print it if you keep paper records, and share the badge on LinkedIn if you would like colleagues to see it.

We hope the new strategies are already working in your classroom.

With best wishes from the training team.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I have just finished a 20-hour professional development course on assessment for learning and differentiated instruction. The most useful part was planning real lessons with the new strategies and trying them with my own classes the next week. Thank you to our trainers and to the colleagues who shared their plans, and their mistakes, so openly. #TeacherTraining #ProfessionalDevelopment

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Send both. They do different jobs.
