Design notes

This landscape sheet turns the whole page into a stadium seen from above. Six terracotta lanes run round the edge with true semicircular bends, a gold kerb and a finish line on the home straight with its painted lane numbers. The record sits in the infield: the recipient's name in bold condensed type, the program, a citation, achievement chips, season, category and level between the two signatures, then the date of issue, credential ID and verification QR code in the corners. It works for any sport, from primary school to adult leagues.

About

Sports Award Certificate Template, Running Track Stadium

End-of-season sports awards recognise more than the fastest time. Schools hand them out at sports day and the annual awards evening, and clubs at their presentation night, for categories such as player of the year, most improved, best team player or the fair play award. A strong certificate names the season, the category and the level, says in one or two sentences what the athlete achieved, and is signed by the coach or head of sport together with the principal or club chair.

Wording on the template“In recognition of a season of performances that raised the standard of the whole team, of commitment at every training session and competition, and of the fair play shown to team mates and opponents alike, from the first day of the season to the last.”

Subject: Congratulations, name: your sports award is here

Hi name,

What a season. Your effort at every training session and on match days did not go unnoticed, and the coaching team is proud to present you with this sports award.

Your certificate and badge are ready. Open them to see your award, download a copy to print for your wall, or share it with your family, friends and team mates. If you are applying for a team or a scholarship, it is a good record to show them.

Well done, and see you at training next season.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

This season ended with a sports award I did not expect. Thank you to my coach for pushing me at every early training session, and to my team mates for making the hard days fun. Proud of what we achieved together, and already looking forward to next season. #Sports #Teamwork #Athletics

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.

Certificate

  • A full record: name, statement, skills, dates and signatures
  • Printed and framed, or kept as a PDF
  • Opens to a page anyone can verify

Digital badge

  • A small image people put on LinkedIn and in email signatures
  • Carries the verified details inside it (Open Badges 2.0)
  • One click shows who earned it and who issued it
