Design notes

This landscape sheet is the gridiron seen from the press box. Navy end zones with painted stripes and orange pylons close both sides, the sidelines carry their 1-yard ticks, and the yard numbers with their goal arrows run along the bottom. Between them sit the logo on the 50, the player's name in tall stadium capitals, the program, a citation, season highlights, a record of season, position, level, team, issue date and credential ID, and two signatures around the verification QR code.

About

Football Award Certificate Template, Gridiron Field

The end-of-season banquet is where a football program says thank you. Youth leagues, flag-football clubs, high-school and college athletic departments and booster clubs hand out awards for MVP, offensive and defensive player of the year, most improved, team captain or simply for every player on the roster. A good football award names the season, the position and the level, sums up the year in a sentence, lists the numbers that mattered, such as rushing yards, touchdowns or tackles, and carries the signatures of the head coach and the athletic director.

Wording on the template“For an outstanding season on the field: leading the team in rushing, scoring when it counted, and setting the standard for effort, toughness and sportsmanship at every practice, every film session and every game.”

Post for the recipient to share

Proud to receive the team's MVP award for this football season. None of it happens without my offensive line, my coaches who pushed me every practice, and teammates who showed up every week. Thank you to everyone who made this season one to remember. On to the next one. #Football #SeasonAwards

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?
