Design notes

The landscape page opens with four card fields, then the title, the champion's name written on a PLAYER line and the program. A short statement sits beside three numbered results, such as low gross score, longest drive and closest to the pin. A full hole grid runs across the page, with a gold pencil loop round the winner's total. Marker and attest signatures, the date, the card number and a QR code close the page. It suits club championships and charity events.

About

Golf Tournament Champion Certificate, Scorecard Landscape

A golf tournament certificate records more than a name. Clubs and societies note the course, the format, the flight and the round, and the result is attested by two people: the marker and the attester. This is the same order a scorecard follows, and the certificate takes its layout from it.

Wording on the template“Awarded for the lowest gross score of the tournament: a round played with patience, precision and sound course management under competition conditions. The result is recorded and attested on the official scorecard by the tournament committee.”

Post for the recipient to share

Proud to share that I won the club tournament this weekend. A steady round, good course management and a few lucky putts made the difference. Thank you to the committee and my playing partners for a great day. #golf #sport #achievement

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.

Certificate

  • A full record: name, statement, skills, dates and signatures
  • Printed and framed, or kept as a PDF
  • Opens to a page anyone can verify

Digital badge

  • A small image people put on LinkedIn and in email signatures
  • Carries the verified details inside it (Open Badges 2.0)
  • One click shows who earned it and who issued it
