Design notes

This landscape page is set out like a wide conference poster. The recipient's name is the poster title in an ink-blue banner, with the program and the organisation as numbered affiliation lines and a board number card in the corner. Four numbered columns follow: Abstract with the statement and keywords, Methods with four skills, Findings with a small bar chart, the duration and the level, and Supervision with two signatures. Along the foot run the date of issue and the record number, with a QR code that opens the verified credential.

Research Certificate Template, Poster Session Landscape

A certificate of excellence in research goes to the student who carried an independent project from question to result. In an undergraduate research program, a research internship or a fellowship that means reviewing the literature, designing a sound method, collecting and analysing data, and presenting the findings to an academic audience, usually at a symposium or poster session. Faculty supervisors and program directors sign it, and students list it on CVs and graduate school applications.

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
