Design notes

Here the council table stands upright, with more chairs down its long sides and the gold head chair over the logo on the page axis. The larger type gives the name and the program room to breathe, and the six achievements are set as a two-column list under an ACHIEVEMENTS label rather than a row of chips, which fits the narrower table top. Below them come the term, office, meetings, issue date and credential ID, then the MOVED BY and SECONDED BY signatures with the QR code between them.

About

Student Council Award Certificate, Seat at the Table

A certificate of student council service records more than a title. Over a school year a council member sits in regular meetings, brings proposals from their class, helps plan spirit weeks, dances and charity drives, and reports back to the students who chose them. Advisors present this recognition at the end of the term, and a tall page suits the binders, portfolio sleeves and noticeboards where such records usually end up.

Wording on the template“Elected by fellow students to speak for them, this member served a full term on the student council, carried the student voice to the school's leadership and helped lead events for the whole school.”

Subject: Thank you for your year on the student council, name

Dear name,

Thank you for your term on the student council. Your time at meetings, the events you helped run and the ideas you brought from your classmates made a real difference to our school this year.

Your certificate of recognition is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print for your portfolio, or share it with family and friends, and on your college applications if you wish.

We hope you stay involved. The new council will learn a lot from what you did.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

This year I served as class representative on my school's student council. I learned how to run a meeting, speak for my classmates, and help plan events for the whole school. Thank you to our faculty advisor and to my fellow council members for a great year. Proud to share my certificate. #StudentCouncil #StudentLeadership

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
