Design notes

On this landscape page a heavy graphite line runs in from the left edge and is tied to a thin coral line in a sheet bend just under the recipient's name, so two lines become one. Below the knot come the program, a two-sentence statement, six areas worked on in one row, the role, duration, issue date and credential ID, two signatures with their titles and a QR code between them. It suits a frame on an office or classroom wall.

Mentor Certificate Template, Sheet Bend Landscape

A mentor certificate thanks someone for what a mentoring partnership asks of them: regular conversations, honest feedback, introductions, and goals set and checked together. Workplace programs hand it out when a cohort closes, often signed by a program director or a learning and development lead, while schools, universities and community groups give it to peer mentors, alumni volunteers and the students or young people they supported. Because the role field can read Mentor or Mentee, the same certificate records both sides of the pair.

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
