Design notes

This landscape layout turns the familiar org chart upside down. Six team members sit in a row at the top, their lines meet in one bar, and a single stem drops to a copper node for the manager, right above the name. Below come the program, a short citation, four achievements on a lighter branch, a details row with the nominator, category, level, issue date and credential ID, then two signatures either side of a QR code. It suits companies that want a warm, modern people award.

About

Manager of the Year Certificate Template, Team Chart

A best manager award goes to the person whose team does its finest work because of how they lead. Companies usually open nominations to direct reports, so the people closest to the manager's coaching, feedback and one-to-ones have the strongest voice; HR then checks the shortlist against engagement survey results, retention and goals delivered. The winner is named at a year-end town hall or awards dinner, and the certificate is signed by the chief executive and the head of people.

Wording on the template“Chosen by the people they lead: for leading with trust, care and clarity, for growing every member of the team into their best work, and for delivering the year's goals together as one team.”

Subject: Congratulations, name: you are our Manager of the Year

Dear name,

We are delighted to tell you that you have been chosen as our Best Manager this year. Your team's nominations spoke of the time you give each of them, the honest feedback that helps them grow, and the way you share every success with the whole team.

Your award certificate is ready. Open it to read why you were chosen, download a copy to print and frame, and share it on LinkedIn so your network can celebrate with you.

Thank you for leading so well.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I am proud to share that I have been named Manager of the Year. What means the most is that the nomination came from my own team. Every goal we reached this year was theirs, and leading them is the best part of my job. Thank you to each of them, and to the leaders who supported us. #Leadership #ManagerOfTheYear

Recipients share it with one click from their credential page, with the badge attached.

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.

Certificate

  • A full record: name, statement, skills, dates and signatures
  • Printed and framed, or kept as a PDF
  • Opens to a page anyone can verify

Digital badge

  • A small image people put on LinkedIn and in email signatures
  • Carries the verified details inside it (Open Badges 2.0)
  • One click shows who earned it and who issued it
