Design notes

The portrait version stacks a mock-official form in full-width rows: a tall AWARD box for the joke title, then the name, the grounds for award beside a red APPROVED stamp, four cobalt ticks, remarks, category, status, program, date, credential ID, two signatures and a QR code. You type each winner's title into the AWARD box, so one design carries a whole evening of awards. Its upright shape suits a desk frame or a printed noticeboard, and the joke always lands on the bureaucracy, never on the recipient.

About

Funny Office Award Certificate, Portrait Triplicate Form

Office superlatives work best when they come from colleagues. A team nominates people for friendly titles such as Most Likely to Reply All or Desk Plant Whisperer, a committee or the whole office votes, and the awards are presented at a holiday party, an end-of-quarter meeting or a farewell. Employers, people teams and office social clubs give them to build team spirit with kind jokes that everyone shares.

Wording on the template“Voted by colleagues for a habit the whole office knows and loves, and for making the working week a little brighter. Presented with full honours, a straight face and the sincere thanks of the team.”

Subject: name, the office has spoken: your award is official

Hi name,

The votes are in, and your colleagues have chosen you for one of this year's office awards. It is our light-hearted way of saying thank you for the good humour and small kindnesses you bring to the team every week.

Your certificate is ready. Open it to see your title, download a copy to print for your desk, or share the badge on LinkedIn so the rest of your network can enjoy it too.

Congratulations, and thank you from all of us.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

My colleagues just voted me this year's Coffee Connoisseur, and I have the official paperwork to prove it. Funny awards like this are one of my favourite parts of working with this team: we take the work seriously and ourselves a little less. Thank you all for the votes and the laughs. #OfficeAwards #TeamCulture

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.

Certificate

  • A full record: name, statement, skills, dates and signatures
  • Printed and framed, or kept as a PDF
  • Opens to a page anyone can verify

Digital badge
