Design notes

This landscape layout puts the primary survey across the page: five circled steps, Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and Circulation, on one line under the statement. The learner's name is the largest text. Below the line sit a short list of assessed skills and a column of program details with dates and credential ID, then the QR code and two signatures. It is printed in safety green on cool white and suits trainers who want a clear record for a wall or a file.

About

First Aid Training Certificate Template, DR ABC Steps

Providers of first aid at work and emergency first aid courses issue a certificate once the learner has passed the practical assessment. A useful one names the course, the standard it follows, the hours, the skills assessed and the date the training lapses, since most first aid certificates must be renewed after a few years.

Wording on the template“Passed the practical assessment and is competent to give first aid in the workplace until the valid-until date shown.”

Subject: Your first aid course certificate is ready, name

Hi name,

Congratulations on finishing your first aid course. You practised the skills that matter on the day: checking the scene, CPR, using an AED and caring for someone until help arrives.

Your certificate is ready. Open it to check your details, download a copy to print for your workplace or file, or add it to your LinkedIn profile.

Thank you for taking the time to learn how to help. We hope you never need it, and we are glad you can.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I completed a first aid course this week. We practised CPR, using an AED, the recovery position and how to stop bleeding. I hope I never need these skills, but I feel better knowing I can help if someone needs it. Thank you to our instructor for a clear, practical day. #FirstAid #CPR

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
