Design notes

This landscape design puts the year itself on the page. A tall navy field on the left holds January to December as columns of day dots in their real month lengths, and the last day of December is a gold star. Beside it the record reads in one column: the award title, the name in a script hand, a statement, four achievements, the award period, the category, the issue date, the credential ID, two signatures and a QR code. It suits companies, public bodies and nonprofits that want a formal but modern award.

About

Employee of the Year Award Certificate, Year Calendar

Employee of the Year is usually the most senior award a company gives its staff. A panel or the leadership team weighs twelve months of work: targets met in every quarter, leadership that lifted others, a process made better, customers who stayed. The certificate is presented at an annual dinner or the year-end meeting, and many winners frame it for the office wall.

Wording on the template“In recognition of outstanding contributions throughout the year: results that raised the standard, leadership that lifted the team, and a commitment shown in every one of its twelve months.”

Words that go with it

The email and the post, written for you

Email to send with it

Subject: name, you are our Employee of the Year

Dear name,

This year your name came up again and again: in results, in client notes and in what your colleagues told us. It is our pleasure to name you Employee of the Year.

Your award certificate and badge are ready. Open them to read the citation, download the certificate to print and frame, and share the badge on LinkedIn so your network can see the year you had.

Thank you for twelve months of work that made all of us better.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I am honoured to be named Employee of the Year. Looking back over the last twelve months, the moments I am proudest of were shared: late fixes with my team, a hard launch we finished together, clients who trusted us. Thank you to my colleagues for nominating me and to our leaders for the chance to grow. On to next year. #EmployeeOfTheYear #Grateful

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
