Design notes
The portrait version stacks everything on one centre line. The chain of six links crowns the page with each stage named around it, and the opened blue link at the bottom points down to the certificate title and the recipient's name. Below the name come the course, a three-line statement, the content covered in three columns and a details grid with duration, standard, renewal, dates and credential ID. Two signatures flank the QR code at the foot. A tall sheet fits a personnel file, a clipboard copy or a frame at a nurses' station.
About
Bloodborne Pathogens Certificate, Infection Chain Portrait
Nurses, phlebotomists, dental assistants, custodial staff, first responders and body art practitioners all take bloodborne pathogens training before they handle sharps, spills or contaminated laundry. A typical course explains how infections travel, universal precautions, the employer's exposure control plan, PPE, safe cleanup and the steps after an exposure incident, and most workplaces renew it every year. Responsibility for confirming that a course satisfies the requirements where it is taught stays with the provider that runs it.
Wording on the template“Trained to treat all human blood and body fluids as infectious, to use the controls and PPE that break the chain of infection, and to act at once on any exposure incident.”More wording ideas for bloodborne pathogens certificates

Subject: name, your bloodborne pathogens training record is ready
Hi name,
Thank you for completing bloodborne pathogens training with us. The time you spent on exposure control, PPE and the steps after an incident helps keep you, your colleagues and the people you care for safer.
Your certificate and badge are ready. Open them to download a copy for your training file, print one for your records, or share the badge on LinkedIn. The certificate also shows the date your next refresher is due, so keep it handy.
Best regards, The training team

Post for the recipient to share
Completed my annual bloodborne pathogens training this week: transmission routes, the exposure control plan, PPE and what to do after an exposure. It is a short course, but it is part of how our team keeps patients and each other safe every day. Thanks to our trainers for a clear and practical session. #InfectionControl #WorkplaceSafety #Healthcare

Printing
Printing it well
Print at actual size
Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.
Use card, not paper
A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.
Frame it
A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.
Mind the edges
Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
