Design notes

This landscape certificate borrows the nine-box grid of the talent review, with performance across and potential up. Eight slate tiles grade from pale to strong, and the top-right tile is solid vermilion. A left column holds the award title, the name in script, a statement, four achievements, the rating and scope, issue date and credential ID, then two signatures, with a QR code under the grid. It suits companies and sales teams that want a clean, modern record.

About

Top Performer Certificate Template, Nine-Box Landscape

A top performer award marks the person whose results stood out across a review period: the salesperson well above quota, the engineer whose releases shipped clean, the support lead with the best quality scores. Employers present it after the annual or mid-year performance review, at a sales kickoff or a year-end town hall, usually signed by the chief executive with the head of people or the person's manager. Naming the period and the measures behind the choice makes the award read as earned.

Wording on the template“For delivering the strongest results of the review period across the whole organization: a top performer whose work consistently went beyond target, raised the standard for the team and earned the respect of managers and peers alike.”

Subject: Congratulations, name: you are this year's top performer

Hi name,

Your results this year stood out across the whole organization, and the leadership team wanted to recognize them properly. You beat your targets, kept the quality of your work high and raised the bar for everyone around you.

Your top performer award is ready. Open it to see your certificate, download a copy to print, or add the badge to your LinkedIn profile so your network can see what you achieved.

Thank you for a remarkable year.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I am proud to share that I was named top performer of the year. It was a demanding year with ambitious targets, and I could not have reached them without a great team and managers who gave me room to do my best work. Thank you to everyone who pushed me and backed me. On to the next goal. #TopPerformer #EmployeeRecognition

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.

Certificate

  • A full record: name, statement, skills, dates and signatures
  • Printed and framed, or kept as a PDF
  • Opens to a page anyone can verify

Digital badge

  • A small image people put on LinkedIn and in email signatures
