Design notes

This landscape design borrows the look of a patent front page as a style, not as a legal document. Bracketed field codes label the record: the certificate title, the organisation, the credential number and the issue date in the header, then the winner's name in large serif type under a double rule. The program, a short abstract and three numbered claims are set in a typewriter face on the left; on the right, FIG. 1 shows a paper dart in fine ink line with numbered callouts. Two signatures, a small violet GRANTED stamp and a verification QR code run along the foot. It suits product, engineering and R&D teams.

About

Innovation Award Template, Patent-Style Paper Dart Landscape

An innovation award certificate should record more than a name. It says what the idea was and what it changed: a new process in daily use, money saved, a hard problem solved in a way no one had tried. Employers give it through staff recognition schemes and CEO awards, accelerators and hackathon juries hand it to winning teams, and universities use it for student and research prizes.

Wording on the template“For an original idea, put into practice, that changed how the work is done: a better process, real savings and a hard problem solved in a way no one had tried before.”

Subject: name, your idea won the Innovation Award

Hi name,

Congratulations. The judges picked your idea for this year's Innovation Award. What started as a suggestion is now part of how we work, and the difference it has made is clear to everyone who uses it.

Your award certificate is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print, or share it on LinkedIn so your network can see what you built.

Thank you for asking how things could work better, and for doing something about it.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

Proud to share that my idea won our company's Innovation Award this year. It started as a small fix to a process that frustrated our whole team, and it is now how we work every day. Thank you to the colleagues who tested it, argued with it and made it better. #Innovation #InnovationAward #ContinuousImprovement

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
