Design notes

The portrait design arranges the newsletter page again for a tall sheet that fits a notice board or a frame. A spotlight of berry dots lands beneath the name, a pull quote between rules carries the reason for the thanks, and the article runs in two columns. A full-width At a Glance box lists the qualities recognised, the program, the issue date and the credential ID, with two signatures and a QR code in the footer. Cream paper and a single berry ink keep it warm and calm.

About

Employee Appreciation Certificate, Spotlight Portrait

Thanks to staff works best when it is specific and public. A certificate for employee appreciation does both: it names the person, says what they did for the team and puts it on record with a signature from a manager or a leader. Schools, hospitals, shops and offices use them for Employee Appreciation Day, for staff weeks and for the quiet moments when someone has carried more than their share.

Wording on the template“Thank you for the care and effort you bring to our team every day. Your dedication, your positive attitude and your hard work make a real difference to the people you work with and to everyone we serve. We are proud to have you with us, and we wanted everyone to know it.”

Subject: Thank you, name: a note of appreciation from the team

Hi name,

We wanted to take a moment to say thank you. The care and effort you bring to your work make a real difference to the people around you, and we do not say it often enough.

Your certificate of appreciation is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print, or share it on LinkedIn so your network can see it too.

Thank you for all you do. We are glad to have you on the team.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

Today my team surprised me with a certificate of appreciation, and it meant more than I expected. It is easy to think the everyday work goes unnoticed, so it was good to hear that it does not. Thank you to my manager and my colleagues for the kind words, and for being people I am happy to work with every day. #EmployeeAppreciation #Teamwork

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.

Certificate

  • A full record: name, statement, skills, dates and signatures
  • Printed and framed, or kept as a PDF
  • Opens to a page anyone can verify

Digital badge

  • A small image people put on LinkedIn and in email signatures
  • Carries the verified details inside it (Open Badges 2.0)
  • One click shows who earned it and who issued it
