Design notes
The portrait layout puts the cut across the page. Above it, a tinted head part holds the logo, the title and the issuer's name. A round oxblood seal sits on the centre line of the cut, and the apprentice's name is directly under it. Below, everything reads down one centred axis: the program, the statement, the competencies achieved, duration, training and issue date, then two signatures with their roles on each side of a QR code for verification.
About
Apprenticeship Certificate Template, Split Seal Portrait
Long ago, an apprenticeship agreement was written twice on one sheet and cut apart, so the master and the apprentice each kept a part that fit only the other. Today the agreement ends with a certificate of completion. An employer or training provider issues it after the apprentice has served the full term, combined supervised work with related study, and passed the final assessment. Many apprentices frame it, so a tall page suits a wall or a portfolio.
Wording on the template“For serving the full term of this apprenticeship: supervised work on the job, related technical instruction and a final assessment, in which the apprentice was found competent in the occupation.”More wording ideas for apprenticeship certificates

Subject: Congratulations, name: your apprenticeship is complete
Hi name,
You did it. You have finished your apprenticeship, and everyone who worked beside you has seen how much you learned along the way, on the job and in the classroom.
Your certificate of completion is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print and frame, or share it on LinkedIn so your network knows you are now fully trained.
We are proud of you and glad to have been part of your start. Well done.

Post for the recipient to share
I have completed my apprenticeship. It meant long days of learning on the job, evenings of study and a final assessment, and I would do it all again. Thank you to my supervisor and my team for teaching me with patience and for trusting me with real work from the first week. Here is my certificate of completion. #Apprenticeship #EarlyCareers #SkillsDevelopment

Printing
Printing it well
Print at actual size
Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.
Use card, not paper
A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.
Frame it
A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.
Mind the edges
Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
