Design notes

A portrait page suits a framed print or a page in a course file, so here the T-account is drawn tall. The title and the name in script form one block at the top, the green bar carries the program between Dr. and Cr., and two long ruled sides list the skills on one side and the duration, level, assessment, issue date and credential ID on the other. Equal totals close both columns above a red double rule, with two signatures and the QR code underneath.

About

Accountant Certificate Template, Portrait T-Account Ledger

Learners who finish a first course in accounting have usually posted journal entries to the ledger, prepared a trial balance, made the closing adjustments and drafted a simple set of financial statements. Training providers, community colleges, accounting associations and firms that bring junior staff into finance teams mark that step with a certificate of completion, often as the first record on the way to a professional qualification.

Subject: name, your accounting course certificate is ready

Hi name,

Congratulations on completing the accounting course and passing the final assessment. You have learned to post entries, make the period-end adjustments and balance a full set of accounts, and that is a real skill employers look for.

Your certificate is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print, or add it to your LinkedIn profile so recruiters and colleagues can see what you have achieved.

Well done, and good luck with the next step.

Post for the recipient to share

I have completed an accounting fundamentals course. Over the past weeks I learned double-entry bookkeeping, adjusting entries, the trial balance and how the ledger turns into the financial statements. The final assessment was a full set of books, and it balanced. Thank you to my tutors for their patience. Next step: putting it to work. #Accounting #Bookkeeping

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
