Design notes

The portrait version is set out like a page of a driver's handbook. Five numbered figures run down the left margin (stop line, right turn, lane change, three-point turn and parallel park), each drawn from above with a green path for the car. The text column beside them carries the name, the program, a statement, the topics covered in class as a short list, the classroom and behind-the-wheel hours, the issue date and the credential ID. A black stop bar leads to two signatures and the QR code. The tall format fits a binder, a folder or a mailed envelope.

About

Drivers Ed Certificate Template, Handbook Plates Portrait

Most students in a driver's ed course are teenagers on a learner's permit, but adults who never learned to drive and newcomers to a country take the same mix of lessons: classroom time on the rules of the road and practice drives with a driving instructor. The certificate marks the day both parts are done. Schools hand it over at the last lesson or send it home.

Wording on the template“Completed classroom instruction in the rules of the road and behind-the-wheel lessons with a driving instructor, practicing every maneuver of the road test.”

Subject: name, your driver's ed certificate is ready

Hi name,

Congratulations on finishing driver's education with us. From the first lessons on the rules of the road to your last drive with your instructor, you put in the time and the attention that make a safe driver.

Your certificate is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print for your records, or share it with your family and friends.

Keep practicing, stay patient behind the wheel, and good luck on the road ahead.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I just finished driver's ed. The classroom lessons on traffic laws and road signs were useful, but the drives with my instructor taught me the most: lane changes, three-point turns and finally parallel parking without hitting a cone. Thanks to my instructor for staying calm through all of it. #DriversEd #NewDriver #RoadSafety

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
