Design notes

Made for driving schools, this landscape page draws those moves as a driver's handbook does. Five numbered figures run across the page, from the stop line to parallel parking, with a green path for the car: solid going forward, dashed in reverse. A double amber center line sits under the title, and a black stop bar runs above the proof row. The page also holds the name, the program, a statement, the topics covered in class, classroom and behind-the-wheel hours, the issue date, the credential ID, two signatures and a QR code.

About

Drivers Ed Certificate Template, Handbook Plates Landscape

A driver's education course prepares a learner for the road in two parts. In the classroom, students study traffic laws, right of way, signs and pavement markings, and the risks of driving impaired or distracted. Behind the wheel, an instructor takes them through the moves they will need on the road test: stopping at the line, turning, changing lanes, turning around and parking. Driving schools, high schools and community colleges hand each student a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

Wording on the template“Completed classroom instruction in the rules of the road and behind-the-wheel lessons with a driving instructor, practicing every maneuver of the road test.”

Subject: name, your driver's ed certificate is ready

Hi name,

Congratulations on finishing driver's education with us. From the first lessons on the rules of the road to your last drive with your instructor, you put in the time and the attention that make a safe driver.

Your certificate is ready. Open it to see it, download a copy to print for your records, or share it with your family and friends.

Keep practicing, stay patient behind the wheel, and good luck on the road ahead.

Hyperstack fills in each person’s name and link when it sends.

Post for the recipient to share

I just finished driver's ed. The classroom lessons on traffic laws and road signs were useful, but the drives with my instructor taught me the most: lane changes, three-point turns and finally parallel parking without hitting a cone. Thanks to my instructor for staying calm through all of it. #DriversEd #NewDriver #RoadSafety

Printing

Printing it well

Print at actual size

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it on its side, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.

Certificate or badge?

Send both. They do different jobs.
