Design notes

This portrait page puts the recipient name and program in the upper half, then opens into a wide contour plot with theta axes. A path of five numbered steps, one for each course, descends to a yellow minimum, and a small box beneath it shows the date and credential ID. Signatures, a course legend and a QR code sit in the foot. The look is technical and calm, close to a plot in a research paper, and it suits analytics and AI programs. A dark night colourway is included.

Finishing a data science professional program means working through Python, statistics, machine learning and data visualization, then delivering a capstone project. Bootcamps, online academies and university extension schools hand out a certificate for this at the end of about six months of study, and graduates often print it for an office wall as well as share it online.

Choose “Actual size” or 100% in the print dialog, not “Fit to page”, so the margins and the QR code keep their size.

Use card, not paper

A matte or silk card of 200–300 gsm (about 80–110 lb cover) feels like an award and does not curl in a frame.

Frame it

A4 fits a standard 21 × 29.7 cm frame; US Letter fits an 8.5 × 11 in frame, or an 11 × 14 in frame with a mat. Hang it upright, as designed.

Mind the edges

Most home printers leave a thin white border. For a design that runs to the edge, use a print shop or your printer’s borderless setting.
